NEW R+D PROJECT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CONTROLLED PERMEABILITY PARTS

IQAP MASTERBATCH in partnership with Plásticos Trebolin (TREPLAS) is taking part in the project: “Development of new masterbatch formulations and injection techniques for the production of controlled permeability parts”, financed by the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) using FEDER – ID 20151278 funds.
PERMEABLE project aims at the development of new masterbatch formulations and new injection techniques for the production of new controlled permeability parts.
The said project will show the new features achieved through these new masterbatch formulations and new injection techniques by creating new air freshener flasks that can provide controlled scent release whilst remaining leakproof.
IQAP’s role consists of selecting and developing polymeric matrix composites, additives and fibres to define new masterbatch formulations and their subsequent extrusion into pellets, as well as conferring specific features to the resulting injected samples, serving as proof of the properties achieved through the new masterbatches.
Our partner is TREPLAS,  as specialist in thermoplastic injection for the production of packaging for the food market, air fresheners and caps, with outstanding technical capabilities and broad experience in designing and developing  new injection techniques and the new packing systems at the centre or this project, that will materialise by using IQAP masterbatches.
All in all, the main goal is to design a product in line with the ever-shifting market requirements in terms of improved features and functionality.
